Our Flange Alignment Tool is great for aligning or realigning flange joints during pipework construction, commissioning, or during routine maintenance. It works by attaching to the joint where misalignment is at its worst and then simply pushing and pulling the flanges into the position that they need to be in.

Petol FLANGE ALIGNMENT TOOLS
When you’re joining two pieces together with the flange alignment pins, you don’t have to worry about hammering or prying like when using a traditional pin. The unique feature of the tapered shaft eliminates these problems, so all you have to do is line up your bolt holes and insert the pins.
Features
Our flange alignment pins are available both individually and in sets. The SMP-FTS212 and SMP-FTS1426 sets come in a custom-made, foam-lined kit that includes a convenient storage container for all of your pins. In certain situations, such as in the situation where there is blind straddling companion flanges, we also offer extra-long “L” versions of our flange alignment pins. We also offer the SMP-FTS212 set in an SMP-FTS212L kit.
Installation
To insert a Petol flange alignment pin, find the best bolt hole to fit it, turn your drill 180 degrees, then insert the other pin. You should be able to remove them easily by hand after rotating each pin 180 degrees.
Specifications
Petol flange alignment pins come in a variety of sizes with bolt-hole diameters ranging from 3/8″ to 3-5/8″, both regular and extra-long lengths. Petol flange alignment pins are made of heat treated 4140 steel that is then coated in black oxide for corrosion resistance. Petol flange alignment pins are available exclusively from SMP, and are the fastest and most affordable way to line up bolt holes on companion flanges. Petol flange alignment pins offer the simplest solution on the market for lining up bolt holes, and can compensate for up or down, as well as rotational misalignment.
